Arnott’s has been named New Zealand’s most trusted biscuit brand for the fourth consecutive year in the 2026 Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Awards, reflecting the brand’s continued strength within the local biscuit and snack category.

The annual awards are based on consumer voting and recognise brands across a range of product sectors.

Mike Cullerne, managing director of Arnott’s New Zealand, says the recognition shows the company’s long-standing connection with New Zealand consumers.

“Arnott’s has long been woven into the fabric of Kiwi life, bringing people together through shared moments of connection with our much-loved favourites like Tim Tam and Mint Slice,” Cullerne says.

“Being recognised once again as New Zealand’s Most Trusted Biscuit Brand is an honour, and a meaningful reflection of the trust Kiwis continue to place in us.”

The company says the result also reinforces continued focus on product development and local manufacturing capability, including operations at its Avondale facility in Auckland which opened in 2023.

“As we look ahead, we remain focused on evolving with Kiwi consumers which includes continuing to innovate at our Avondale Factory, opened in 2023,” Cullerne says.

“We’re committed to maintaining strong partnerships with Kiwi suppliers and to creating products that truly resonate with local tastes.”

Arnott’s says the Avondale facility was developed as an innovation hub supporting sweet and savoury biscuit production across Australia and New Zealand, while also supporting expansion of the 180 degrees cracker brand acquired by the company in 2021.

The company also released updated New Zealand purchasing figures across several of its product lines, highlighting continued strength in snack and biscuit consumption nationally.

According to Arnott’s, Tim Tam Original recorded more than two million packets sold during the past year, while New Zealand consumers purchased more than 2.5 million boxes of Shapes during 2026 to date. More than 1.5 million gluten-free Arnott’s products were also purchased during the past year, reflecting continued growth within specialised and dietary-focused product categories.

Arnott’s owner The Arnott’s Group also confirmed Mother Earth had received its fourth consecutive Reader’s Digest award as New Zealand’s most trusted muesli and snack bar brand.
