LaserPrepClean

Mecon Limited

Mecon limited is very excited to announce the future of surface preparation - Laser Cleaning.

This new technology uses No Chemicals and/or Abrasives, it is just light!

The process is called ablation, basically what happens is that light gets absorb in to a hard surface and it starts bouncing in between the hard surface and dirt, therefor the dirt comes loose and falls off.  This dirt can be sucked away with a vacuum or dispersed in air if there is enough airflow.

An Eco friendly way to clean surfaces of, food grade stainless steel. spot welds of steel structures made ready for primer and (intumescent) paint applications, delicate machine parts and/or engine parts, fire/soot damage, commercial cast iron/stainless steel kitchen equipment.  It will also remove paint/coating up to 100 microns (µm).

If you have a closer look at existing stainless steel what has repeatedly been cleaned with chemicals it shows a brownish colour in that bacteria can hide even when its been cleaned with chlorine or other harsh chemicals. Once in a while when that breaks loose in a shift food can be contaminated with all sorts. When is been detected place is shut down and cleaned again with lots of water and lots of chemicals 2 days later same story again! Perfect to clean difficult to reach stainless steel parts and or conveyor belts.

To sum it up

No expensive set up and or break down cost!

No chemicals.

No abrasive material being shot around the place.

No use of lots of water.

No prolonged cleaning cost.

No downtime for surrounding workers/trades in a (yearly) shut.

No harsh noises when operating.

It is a dry process with minimal dirt you will be amazed of the process.

This process can be done onsite with 100 watts and or 2000 watts for 2000 watts ill need to have access to 15 AMP (IP44plug).

Is it expensive? no I don't believe so it is cheaper then soda blasting and garnet blasting.

I believe where this system gains is, the fact that this is a eco friendly way to achieve the same results or even better as with chemical cleaning, blasting, power tool cleaning.

So how clean is this ? Well I've done a soluble salt test with a calibrated Positector gauge and the test result of the surface was zero contamination of soluble salt because this is a unseen dirt I am very confident to say that any bacterial life will be destroyed as well.  We serve the north Island.

Please contact Mecon limited for what we can do for you.

Looking forward meeting you.
