Global packaging solutions specialist tna has launched the world’s first vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) rotary polyethylene packaging system.
The latest innovation for the company’s tna robag® range, the tna robag® FXIS 3ci offers efficiencies of up to 99 percent of target output while reaching speeds of 150bpm.
The company’s core principles of performance, simplicity and flexibility are at the heart of the design of this unique PE packaging system. The innovative rotary jaw design uses advanced impulse sealing technology to deliver high quality, consistent packaging, with high levels of accuracy. Product waste is reduced due to the optimised product transfer from the multi-head scale through to the jaws. Plus, tna’s innovative rotary double flat jaw (RDFJ) configuration doubles the throughput in comparison to the standard single jaw packaging systems that are currently on the market.
The tna robag 3ci builds on thefeatures of the tna robag 3ci series, such as the simplified film system for effortless film threading, and stainless steel construction for ease of cleaning, while also delivering efficient, reliable PE sealing and bagging. Its polyethylene bags are suitable for numerous packaging applications, including fresh or frozen vegetables, salads, ready to eat fruit, and pre-wrapped candies.
Optimal reliability and a longer lifespan are ensured by tna’s trademark ‘sophisticated simplicity’ design. The tna robag 3ci also offers enhanced ease-of-use as no mechanical adjustments are necessary when changing product or film for a wide range of applications and bag sizes. With a small footprint due to its compact design, the tna robag 3ci requires minimal floor space to maximise productivity. It also helps to meet sustainability goals through minimal air and power consumption, as well as standby options within the software.
